Between 2006-2013, he worked as a faculty member in the field of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Kırıkkale University Faculty of Medicine. He actively trained assistants and students as well as surgical service. During this period, he also worked as a Specialist Physician in Ankara ONEP for 10 months in 2006 and in GATA Burn Center within the scope of military service. In 2012, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor in the field of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. He was entitled to receive a diploma in Hand Surgery and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Subspecialties by the Ministry of Health. In 2012, he was awarded EURAPS Young Scholarship scholarship and worked in Helsinki Töölö Hospital for three months.

In 2012, he took the two-step exam and received EBOPRAS (European Board Certificate in Plastic Surgery) certificate. Dr. Yazıcı has two patent applications in his field. Dr. İlker Yazıcı, who worked as an Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at Istanbul Bilim University-Şişli Florence Nightingale Hospital between 2013-2016, speaks fluent/advanced English.
